About Me
Wow! What a journey! It's taken 40 years and the first 39 were spent suppressing and denying who I was. The last nine months have been a whirlwind starting with the struggle to come to grips with the 'new me' and ending with the profile pictures. My head is still spinning. Life is so odd! If I had been free'd those many years ago, I might have made different choices. Now, it's too late for most of them. I have a wonderful wife and a great job with a great organization. Neither of them would find this the slighest bit amusing! LOL. So, I will stay in my closet ... but now my closet has a window. I'd love to find a local 'girl' with a place where I could keep a few things so I could slip through that window and steal a few moments of 'Carrie time'. Maybe I will. Who knows where life takes us? Somehow, I don't think the journey's over yet! - Hugs
Added the next day: I feel like the gal at the academy awards who forgot to thank the person who really made the award possible. My best friend in the word, Liz, a GG has been with and pushing me throughout this journey. It's been tough for her cuz we've been together almost 15 years and 9 months ago she got this sprang (is that a word?) on her. She's still trying to understand and has a lot of questions. She's been one hell of a trooper. I've asked her to join us here. If she says yes, give her a shout out! She's one special lady!
